Cookie Policy

How DriveSize uses cookies and similar technologies.

Effective date: 24 July 2026 • Website: DriveSize

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how DriveSize uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit drivesize.com (the "Site"). It explains what these technologies do, why we use them and how you can control them.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal information.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They can be temporary and expire when you close your browser, or persistent and remain until they expire or you delete them. First-party cookies are set for the website you are visiting; third-party technologies are provided by another organisation.

Websites can also use scripts, tags and similar technologies to access information from a browser or device without placing a traditional cookie. This policy covers those technologies where DriveSize uses them.

3. Cookies we use

Essential and preference cookies

  • CookieConsent — Cookiebot, first party, up to one year. Remembers your cookie-consent choices for the Site.
  • measurement-unit — DriveSize, first party, up to one year. Remembers whether you selected metric or imperial measurements.
  • analytics-opt-out — DriveSize, first party, up to one year. Set only when you turn off Vercel Web Analytics so the Site can remember that choice.

These cookies support choices or functions you request. If you block or delete them, the Site may not remember your measurement units, cookie choices or analytics objection.

Optional analytics cookies

  • _ga — Google Analytics, first party, up to two years. Distinguishes browsers so visits can be included in Site usage statistics.
  • _ga_* — Google Analytics, first party, up to two years. Maintains information about an analytics session.

DriveSize uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. These cookies and the associated analytics tag are blocked unless you accept statistics cookies. Browser settings may shorten their stated duration.

Google Tag Manager is used to operate the consent setup and manage the optional analytics tag. Google Analytics is configured not to run through it until statistics consent is given.

DriveSize does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.

4. Cookie-free site analytics

DriveSize also uses Vercel Web Analytics to produce aggregate statistics that help us understand and improve the Site. It does not use analytics cookies or track visitors across different websites or days. It is enabled by default and operates separately from optional cookie consent. You can turn it on or off at any time, free of charge, using the control below.

5. Third-party providers

We use Cookiebot by Usercentrics to display the cookie banner and record consent choices, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for consent-controlled Site analytics, and Vercel for cookie-free Site analytics. These providers may process technical and usage information when their services operate.

Our Privacy Policy explains the information involved, why it is used and the organisations that may receive it.

6. Managing your choices

Use “Cookie preferences” in the Site footer to accept or reject optional cookies, or to change or withdraw consent later. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before it was withdrawn.

Vercel Web Analytics is controlled separately. Use the cookie-free analytics control to turn it on or off. Rejecting optional cookies in the Cookiebot panel does not turn off Vercel Web Analytics.

You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent the Site from remembering preferences and privacy choices.

7. Current cookie declaration

The declaration below is generated from Cookiebot's latest scan of the Site. It supplements the list above and may reflect newly detected technologies or browser-specific durations.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our use of cookies or similar technologies changes. Where required, we will ask for consent again.

If you have questions about this policy, email drivesize@drivesize.com.
